Let the day reach the sea.

Mali Ston rewards the visitor who leaves a little room in the itinerary. Finish the climb, find the harbour and change the pace.

Read the town from the water.

The official town map identifies Koruna above Mali Ston and Toljevac beside the harbour, with the former arsenal, Orsan, nearby. These landmarks give a simple structure to a short visit: waterfront first, then a look back towards the defences.

Leave room for the smaller things too: boats at the quay, the outline of the walls and the change of light across the bay. A waterfront pause makes a natural counterpart to a climb on exposed stone.

Make a real reservation.

Bota Šare’s own website places its Mali Ston restaurant on the waterfront in a former salt store, with Dalmatian cooking and local shellfish. Use the contact below to book a table or enquire about an oyster experience. This is a researched address, not an anonymous restaurant review.

Build in a little space.

Allow about 30–45 minutes as an editorial estimate for a gentle look around the harbour, plus the time you want for a meal or pre-booked experience. This is not a duration for walking the walls.

If you arrived over the fortifications, check your return to Ston before settling in. Keep the restaurant booking, any boat departure and the last bus as separate commitments. The best itinerary leaves enough room between them.

Walk the walls

Keep exploring the peninsula.

Ston and Mali Ston can form a complete day or the beginning of a longer stay on Pelješac. Use the tourist board for local information and Ston.travel for the wider destination. Choose a few places you have time to enjoy, rather than turning the peninsula into a checklist.
